36 hours in Cancun, Mexico - Part 2

Part 2: Day One in Cancun

My Uber driver was awesome and he had his daughter riding in the front with him. I decided he would be our chauffeur for the weekend, so I got for his direct contact information. I arrived at the EpilCenter right on time for my appointment. It was just as clean and professional as it is in the USA, but half the price! Luckily for me, there was a hair salon/ nail shop named Glamour right next door so I got my fill in with designs and pedicure there for also half what i pay in the USA. The nail technician did not speak English, but her little helper grew up in Texas so he translated everything for us. I was surprised to see that they did not up charge for gel nail polish like they do here. Once I finished with my maintenance hours, the chauffeur took me to the Airbnb I had booked right across from Hotel Riu Palace Las Americas.

There I met my girlfriend and we went out searching for dinner & drinks. We found this Taco Factory Place and loved their food and ritas so much that we came back later that night. It is located on a walkway to the strip which makes it perfect for tourist watching. After dinner, we headed back to the room where we showered and changed into party animals. We partied at La Vaquita. You cannot miss it because it has an open front, dancers, and two huge floating cows. The DJ played hip hop and Hispanic music alternatively. The club tries to push you to purchase open bar tickets, but it is such a STRUGGLE to get to the bar! We went there on both nights and I only made it to the bar two times. Overall, it cost more to go clubbing in Mexico than it would in the USA, but we had a good time and met interesting people.
