MY STORY

Born on January 6, 1990, in Paris, France, France Makabu is a dedicated real estate professional and an inspiring figure in her community. Growing up in a modest family of seven, France is the eldest child of Makanda "Fay Man" and Béatrice, with three brothers and three sisters. Her early life was marked by resilience, overcoming significant challenges including the absence of her birth mother and experiences of verbal and physical abuse. These experiences shaped her into the self-reliant woman she is today.

France graduated from Jacques Feyder High School in Epinay Sur Seine in 2008, earning a degree in Science with a focus on Physics and Chemistry and a minor in Music. At 19, she moved to the United States to pursue her dreams, first attending Milligan College in Johnson City, TN. As a member of the Lady Buff Track & Field team, she earned NAIA All-American honors and set the indoor school record in the triple jump.

Continuing her athletic career, France transferred to Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU), where she trained under Coach Dean A. Hayes. During her time at MTSU, she achieved NCAA All-American status and graduated in 2013 with a degree in Business Administration and a minor in Economics and Investments.

​

Following her studies abroad in Taiwan, France received a full scholarship to Western Kentucky University, where she completed her Master’s in Business Administration in just one year, earning numerous academic and athletic honors along the way.

​

France’s professional journey includes five years as an international sales representative and business administrator for Fukuda USA Inc., where she generated millions in sales across the USA, Canada, and Mexico. By age 27, she had purchased her first home and investment property, gaining valuable insights into the challenges faced by first-time homebuyers and investors.

​

Now residing in West Palm Beach, Florida, France is the President of the Urban League Young Professionals of Palm Beach County, where she passionately advocates for the empowerment of young professionals and community engagement. She is dedicated to helping first-time homebuyers and investors navigate the real estate market, earning recognition as a top producer in 2022 and 2023, as well as being awarded Top 50 Florida Realtor in 2020 and Top 40 Under 40 Leaders of South Florida in 2024.
